Boiler Warranty: The Best 10-Year Warranty Boilers in 2022
Are you looking for a new boiler that won’t break the bank, but will last a long time? You’re in the right place — the guide below will help you shortlist the best boilers with a 10-year warranty.
Why Do I Need a 10-Year Warranty Boiler?
The price difference between a boiler warranty of 10 years and one of 2 years isn’t much. In fact, you’d expect a typical, 24kW, 10-year warranty boiler to cost only £200 more than its 2-year counterpart. Essentially, you’re paying £25 for each added year of warranty. In our opinion, that’s an absolute bargain, given that the overall purchase could be in the thousands.
Keep in mind, any price difference that comes with a longer guarantee will relate to the cost of the boiler itself; the cost of labour for the installation will be the same.
So, a typical installation in an average home (24kW-30kW unit) is going to cost around £2,000. It’s hardly worth saving £200 on a low-warranty boiler, when you then risk having to foot the bill for a new £2,000+ installation just a few years down the line.
What’s the Minimum Recommended Boiler Warranty?
A boiler warranty of 5 years is what we’d recommend as a minimum. If a brand is offering a 5-10+ year warranty, it suggests they’re confident their products have longevity.
A boiler with a 2-year warranty? Not so much…
So, if you have the budget to stretch to a boiler with a 10-year warranty, we’d highly urge you to do so.
10-Year Warranty Boiler Models
Based on our extensive market research, the models below deliver the best boiler warranty terms.
#1. Worcester Bosch Guarantee: 10 Years
You’ll find various installers offering warranties of 5-10 years on Worcester Bosch boilers. Not only is this extremely competitive, but it also shows the confidence Worcester Bosch has in the quality of their products.
But how do you get the 10-year Worcester warranty? We suggest heading over to Heatable — one of the most reliable online boiler installation companies in the UK.
They offer the best rates on Worcester Bosch boilers (starting at £2,040 for the Greenstar 4000 30kW model) , but their offers also come with a long warranty. At the time of writing, all Worcester boilers listed on Heatable’s website come with a 10-year warranty.
You can get a price for your new boiler on screen inclusive of that warranty by clicking here. Simply fill in the form and in less than 90 seconds you’ll be seeing all their offers.
#2. Viessmann: 10-Year Boiler Warranty
Viessmann is another strong name in boiler manufacturing. The German company is one of the biggest players in the European market, not only because they sell a lot of boilers every year, but because they build them to last. And that’s something most installers will tell you.
Viessmann boilers come with a 10-year warranty if acquired from Heatable. For example, you can get the Viessmann Vitodens 100-W — a popular Which? Best Buy boiler — starting at £2,395.
All you need to do is fill out a few details about your home, and the Heatable calculator will give you a range of suitable boiler models.
#3. Other Models With a 10-Year Boiler Warranty
If you’d prefer a boiler that’s not from Worcester Bosch or Viessmann, or have a local installer that prefers to fit alternative brands, here are a few more boiler models worth looking at:
- Baxi 600, the Baxi duo-tec, the Baxi EcoBlue range or the Baxi Platinum
- Ideal Vogue and Ideal Vogue Max
- Vaillant EcoTec Exclusive, EcoTec Plus and Green iQ*
You can get quotes for your new boiler from local installers here.
*The Vaillant boilers mentioned above need to be fitted by an “Advance” installer, and installed alongside a Boiler Protection kit, for Vaillant to honour the warranty.
